The Event Overview
This
unique cultural festival celebrates all aspects of both contemporary and
traditional Korean and Korean-American culture.
The Festival features both contemporary and traditional performing arts,
exhibits, sports, games and food. Continuing a theme started in 2007,
the Festival will also showcase technology and youth culture - all key
elements of the "Korean Wave."
With a sizable and prominent Korean-American population and a sister city
in Korea (Donghae City in the province of Gangwon), Federal Way is proud
to be the home of an event that showcases Korean culture to people throughout
the Greater Seattle region and the Pacific Northwest. The festival provides
a unique entertainment opportunity, as well as strengthens understanding
and appreciation of Korean culture and its place in the context of the
Pacific Northwest and its rich cultural diversity.
The Sponsors and Sponsor Opportunities
The
Han Woo-Ri Festival is produced by Han Woo-Ri Festival, Inc., a State
of Washington nonprofit corporation. Over the Festival's history financial
and/or in-kind support has come from dozens of public agencies and private
companies, including on-going support from the City of Federal Way. Exciting
sponsorship opportunities exist for this year's Festival - from the main
Platinum "presenting" sponsorship to Patron and Banner sponsors.
The Han Woo-Ri Festival has great exposure to people of all cultures within
the Pacific Northwest. Festival organizers hope that Korean-Americans
will view the May date as an opportunity to celebrate their heritage and
culture. Non-Korean Festival goers will have an exciting opportunity to
learn about the rich, exciting and often unsung traditional and contemporary
Korean culture in their midst.
The organizing committee offers several sponsorship options. Feel free
to choose the option that fits your organizational mission and/or advertising
needs and contact us for availability and prices.
